Stone Wool Suspended Ceiling

Rock wool core panel claddings are widely preferred in industrial buildings, public facilities, and hygienic environments due to their high fire resistance, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. With surfaces made of painted galvanized steel, these panels offer both aesthetic and functional solutions in various thicknesses and color options. The rock wool core provides enhanced fire protection while ensuring superior acoustic and thermal performance.

Key Advantages:

  • Fire classification: A2-s1, d0 (TS EN 13501-1 compliant)

  • Excellent thermal insulation (U-value: 0.24 – 0.70 W/m²K)

  • Outstanding sound insulation performance

  • Hygienic, cleanable, and antibacterial surface finishes

  • Suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation

  • Long-lasting, low-maintenance system

Stone Wool Suspended Ceiling

Stone Wool Suspended Ceiling

A mineral wool suspended ceiling is a ceiling covering system formed by placing mineral wool panels—produced by melting natural stones (mainly basalt) at high temperatures and converting them into fibers—into specially designed suspension systems.
The panels are generally manufactured in 600 × 600 mm or 600 × 1200 mm dimensions.

Areas of Use

  • Offices

  • Hospitals

  • Schools

  • Shopping malls

  • Conference and meeting halls

  • Banks and public buildings

Installation System

The system is typically installed using a T24 suspension system:

  • L-shaped wall angles are fixed to the walls.

  • T24 main runners and cross tees are suspended from the ceiling using hanger wires.

  • Mineral wool panels are placed into the grid system (lay-in system).

  • The system can be integrated with lighting fixtures and ventilation panels.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Material: Mineral wool produced by fiberizing natural stones

  • Fire Resistance: Non-combustible, Class A1 (according to EN 13501-1)

  • Sound Insulation: High NRC value (between 0.70 – 1.00), effectively reduces reverberation

  • Thermal Insulation: Low thermal conductivity, contributes to energy efficiency

  • Hygiene: Resistant to mold and bacteria

  • Dimensions: Typically 600 × 600 mm, 600 × 1200 mm

  • Edge Types: Lay-in (square edge), Tegular (stepped edge) options available
